Covid19 - Special Considerations and Rules for this event
THE 2024 FINISH LOCATION OF THE WALK HAS BEEN MOVED TO
THE
MORRELL ROOM, STREATLEY
The event will follow social distancing and hygiene
guidelines, and necessary operational changes to allow the event to
happen are as follows,
A, Your Check Card will be issued at the start.
Please don’t lose it, and securely fix it to your rucksack or
clothing before you start the walk with a length of string so that
it can easily be scanned at check points.
B, At checkpoints limited food will be available
and issued to you by the CP marshal. Water/Squash will be available.
Water bottles can be filled but only take what you need, we have
limited supplies. Make sure you fill your water bottles at home and
bring them to the start this will help us and you.
C, The “Finish” this year be at the Morrell Room,
Streatley (NOT The Bull pub or the Goring Village Hall). Please note
no dogs or boots are allowed in the Room ALSO NOTE>>> THERE IS NO
PARKING FOR WALKERS AT THE ROOM. Use the Goring car parks as shown
on the
maps page on this website under the
“Maps” section.
D, NOTE>>> We will not be providing transport for
retirees at check points onward to the finish. Entrants should make
their own arrangements for this situation using friends or family or
taxi. This is a 40 mile walk in limited time and requires prior
training and good health. We advise that you download the App -
what3words to your smart device . If your family also use this
app, they will be able to navigate directly to your exact position.
